About the Tours
For over 60 years, Beacon Hill Circle for Charity members have conducted narrated two-hour walking tours and opened their homes to such groups. We are proud to be temporary guardians of the neighborhood’s period houses and want to share them because of our love for Beacon Hill, its history and its architecture.
We donate the funds we raise through these tours to charities dedicated to improving the lives of women and children at risk in the Greater Boston area. We welcome inquiries and bookings from tour brokers, event planners and professional, cultural, educational and charitable groups both beyond and within the Boston area.
Book a Tour
We welcome inquiries and bookings from tour brokers, event planners and leaders of private groups. Tours can be tailored to meet special requests.

“I loved how the homes were beautiful but REAL family homes. The beauty of the decorating and architecture is enhanced by the personal touches. So much nicer than a traditional museum. Our hostesses were gracious and welcoming. We felt like guests, not tourists.”
C. Bradley, Ipswich, MA
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Thanks to the Circle, we are delighted to be able to offer our visiting guests the unique opportunity to truly experience life in the heart of Boston with an insider’s look at some of the lovely private homes on Beacon Hill, one of the most historic and beautiful communities in the country. The charming and engaging historians who lead the tours (volunteers from ‘the Hill’) with their wonderful stories and often amusing anecdotes about the homes, the neighborhood, the history, and life on Beacon Hill are the icing on the cake”
